Ownership
Aragonite Sand is a product line of AragoCor Minerals LLC. The material is one oolitic aragonite from the Bahamian carbonate bank, screened to three particle sizes and packed in four formats for the markets that specify it.
aragocorminerals.com carries the industrial product line, the technical data sheets and the contact details, which are the same as the ones on this page. Samples, quotes and orders for the aquarium grades are written there too.

Sourcing
The aragonite is a marine oolitic sand from naturally forming deposits on the Bahamian carbonate bank, sourced through Aragosan Minerals Limited. No kiln. No calcination. Less processing than conventional calcined lime. Source documentation is available to customers.
Washing and drying
Rinsed to remove salt and silt, then dried to a moisture figure published per lot.
Screening
Screened to three grades: fine at 0.5–1.0 mm, medium at 1.0–2.0 mm and coarse at 2.0–5.0 mm. Fines below 0.25 mm are screened out and the remainder is reported on each lot's sieve analysis.
Packing
Packed in-house in 20 lb and 50 lb bags, 2,000 lb bulk bags, and loose for bulk loads. Each production run carries a lot code, which is what the lot lookup on this site answers to.
Testing practice
Testing practice
Every production run is sampled after bagging and sent for analysis. The certificate is issued against the lot code printed on the pack and ships with the order. The scope of the analysis, the testing laboratory and the methods used are stated on the certificate itself.
The analysis describes the sample that was tested on the date given. It is a measurement, not a warranty that every grain in every bag matches it. Specifications published elsewhere on this site are typical values across lots. Where the two differ, the lot analysis governs.
Aragonite is more soluble than calcite at the same particle size and supplies calcium and carbonate as it dissolves. It buffers alkalinity. It does not hold water or soil at a fixed pH and no such claim is made for it.
